Longevity research gets written about as though lifespan were the whole question. It isn't. This tracker follows three layers at once: extending how long the body lasts, preserving the structure of the brain, and the much harder question of whether what gets preserved is still you. Solving only the first two gets you a very well-documented corpse.

2025's MICrONS mapped roughly 1 cubic millimetre of mouse visual cortex. A human brain is about 1,260,000. Set a yearly rate of progress and your age, and it tells you what year whole-brain mapping arrives and how old you'd be. It is an extrapolation, not a forecast, and the page says so.
